FUNDING OPPORTUNITY:  Raising Quality! IMPACT 2020 Family, Friend and Neighbor Initiative

Does your agency excel at engaging the community in programs focused on providing quality care for young children?  Is your agency a trusted messenger that the community relies on for information and service?  Does your agency have the capacity to reach African American, Latinx or South Asian or Southeast Asian populations with culturally and linguistically appropriate services?  If your agency answered YES to the questions above, then First 5 San Joaquin and Raising Quality! invites you to respond to the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the Raising Quality! IMPACT 2020 Family, Friend and Neighbor (FFN) Initiative.

This initiative will focus on enhancing early care services provided by grandparents in underserved populations.  First 5 San Joaquin acknowledges the important roles that grandparents play in a child’s life – caregiver, mentor and teacher.  The Raising Quality! IMPACT 2020 FFN Initiative seeks to pair grandparents caring for children (ages 0 to 5) with a community-based organization to provide guidance, coaching and access to a variety of health and social services in order to enhance their caregiving skills and help ensure that the children in their care have a save and nurturing environment that allows them to thrive and grow.
